Jimmy Moore Whole Foods and Links

I was plenty surprised to see JP "The Healthy Fellow" mentioned on another favorite blog of mine: Jimmy Moore's Livin' La Vida Low Carb. It looks like the health food store chain, Whole Foods, is starting up a new low-fat, vegetarian based "wellness program" that claims to be the key to greater health for the masses. I'm sure many of the folks at Whole Foods believe this will, in fact, result in improved health for many of their customers and greater profits for themselves and their investors. There's nothing wrong with that ... if it works. I for one am far from convinced that such a way of eating is healthful for the majority of people out there. I am however in favor of modeling a menu plan around real, whole foods such as grass-fed dairy and meat, free range chickens and eggs, organic fruits, nuts, seeds and veggies. These are the very same types of foods that have sustained countless generations and they're what I continue to recommended (and use) wholeheartedly.

And now for a brief overview of the other action that's been going down on my favorite natural health site on the 'net: HealthyFellow.com

Monday's Topic: Herbs for Arthritis, Colds and Crohn's Disease

Tuesday's Topic: Herbs for Allergies and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Wednesday's Topic: Herbs for Bronchitis, High Cholesterol and More!

Thursday's Topic: The Link Between Cranberries and Heart Health

Friday's Topic: The Latest News About Soy and Phytoestrogens

I hope you'll find this natural health information as valuable as I did. I also want to encourage you to let Whole Foods know exactly how you feel about their new health/marketing strategy. As a consumer, you do have a powerful voice. Please make sure to use it and to "vote" with your spending dollar.
